Lifted To The Windows

from This Is My Theory by Andrew Newton

/

about

Had the music idea kicking around for a bit, then went on a blind date. I thought it went awesome, so when I got home I immediately wrote these lyrics. Never heard from the girl again.

lyrics

Goin' down to the coffee shop, brought a bottle of OJ,
I ain't gonna drink it.
Wait in line, I'm right on time, looking for the signal
And I can't believe it.

You aren't the one that I expected.

Quarter million, half a cent, the coin doesn't matter
If this is real.
Just need enough to buy a bottle of OJ
And turn the wheel.

I want to listen to your story.

It's cold and it's warm, the opposites together
The only time is when I see your eyes
And poetry's not lifted to the windows to your soul.

Is this the way to go?

So now I see the cutest girl in the building
The one with the paper.
I know it's odd, so help me God, there is no pressure,
But three hours later...

One end is just one more beginning.
