Alright, Good-Night

from The Start by Andrew Newton

about

He’s walked too far, time to rest. Of course, there’s always someone around to keep you from having a quiet moment. “Did you hear about the plane?” There are some awful things in this world. Are my hang-ups even worth mentioning? It seems this stranger has shown that my story’s overblown.
I still have her phone number. So....

lyrics

With my feet getting sore, I can’t walk anymore
So I’ll just sit here and rest for a while
But this sketch-looking man, well, he’s got another plan
So I’ll lend an ear and fake a smile

“Did you hear about the plane, and I know this sounds insane,
But it disappeared right out of the light?
It was flying across the sea, and according to TV,
There’s more than one way to cancel a flight”
And I said

All right, good night
All right, good night

“It was a military troop, or a terrorist group
Or something worse that we’re not allowed to know
Like a government crime, or maybe all this time
It was outrageous like a UFO”

But I’m running behind, I’ve got someone on my mind
And a phone number still in my hand
And this stranger has shown that my story’s overblown
So I dig my head back out of the sand
And I say

Now where’s the phone to call her?
I got the phone to call her!
